NEET 2026: Exam Date (Out),Admit Card, Syllabus, Pattern, Eligibility & More
Application Procedure
1. Register
- Visit the NEET official website and click on New Registration.
- Enter basic details, create a password, and note your Application Number.
2. Identity Verification
- Enter Aadhaar / other valid ID details for verification.
- Resolve any mismatch using options provided by the exam authority.
3. Fill Application Form
- Enter personal, contact, and educational details.
- Select course preferences (MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, etc.).
- Choose exam cities / centres as per instructions.
4. Upload Documents
- Photograph (specified background, size, and format).
- Signature.
- Class 10 / 12 certificates.
- Category / PwD certificate (if applicable).
- Any other required documents in the specified format.
5. Pay Examination Fees
- Pay via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or other allowed modes.
- After successful payment, download and save the Confirmation Page.
NOTE
The entire process is usually online; physical documents are typically not sent to the authority unless specifically asked.
Application Correction
- Fill the form carefully to avoid errors.
- The exam authority may open a correction window for a limited time.
- Only specific fields may be editable.
- Corrections are allowed online only; no changes via post, email, phone, or in person.
Exam Slot & Centre Allocation
- Candidates may or may not be allowed to choose an exact exam date or shift.
- Exam centre, date, and timing are allotted by the authority using computer software.
- Preferences are considered, but a different centre may be allotted for administrative reasons.
Admit Card
- Released a few days before the exam as per the official schedule.
- Download from the official website using:
- Application Number, and
- Password / Date of Birth.
- Admit card contains:
- Candidate name, photo & signature
- Exam date & time
- Test centre address
- Important instructions
- A printed admit card must be carried to the exam.
- Admit cards are generally not sent by post.
Test Centres & City Intimation
- Candidates select preferred exam cities while filling the form.
- The authority may:
- Merge centres if there are few candidates.
- Change the allotted city due to administrative reasons.
- A city intimation slip may be released before the admit card.
Candidate Responses & Answer Keys
- Candidate responses recorded during the exam are made available on the official website.
- Responses can usually be viewed or downloaded for a limited time.
- Candidates should save a copy for future reference.
Answer Keys
- A provisional answer key is released after the exam.
- Candidates may challenge answers within the given deadline by paying a per-question fee.
- After review, the authority publishes the final answer key, which is used for result preparation.
Result & Score
- Results are declared as:
- Scores, percentiles, or ranks (as applicable).
- The scorecard may include:
- Subject-wise marks
- Total score
- All India Rank / Category Rank (if applicable)
- Scorecards are usually downloadable only and not sent by post.
