Daily targets: a mentor plans your study day
Daily targets are study tasks that one assigned mentor sets for you each day in the MentorTalk app. Each task is split into small subtasks with a time estimate and a due date, so you always know what to study next and your mentor can see what you finished. What a daily target looks like
A target is a task with a title, an optional description and a due date, broken into as many as 40 subtasks. Each subtask is meant to be about one day's work and can carry a subject, a time estimate and, for NEET, a syllabus chapter. An example of what a NEET mentor might send:
- Read the NCERT chapter and mark key terms (60 minutes)
- Solve 40 chapter MCQs and note every wrong answer (45 minutes)
- Revise yesterday's chapter notes (20 minutes)

How daily targets work
- Start the plan. Choose NEET or JEE in the MentorTalk app and start the 3-day free trial. No payment is needed to start.
- Get a mentor. You are assigned one mentor, who sets your daily targets and stays with you for the plan.
- Receive your tasks. Your mentor sends a task with up to 40 subtasks, each with a subject, a time estimate and a due date. You get a notification when it arrives.
- Tick off subtasks. Mark each subtask done as you finish it. Use the focus timer, which alerts you at 15 minutes left and at time up.
- Keep your streak. Any day you complete work counts toward your streak. Your mentor sees each task as done, late or open and adjusts the next ones.

How big should one day's target be?
There is no fixed number of chapters or questions that suits every student. A useful daily target is one you can finish: it fits the hours you actually have after school or coaching, mixes new topics with revision, and includes practice questions, not only reading. Breaking the day into timed subtasks makes it obvious when a plan is too heavy, and your mentor can change the next one when you tell them in chat.

Who sets my daily targets?
Your assigned mentor writes them by hand. They are not generated automatically or by AI. Mentors are students who have cleared exams such as NEET or JEE, or students from leading colleges, and are verified before approval.
Which exams have daily targets?
NEET and JEE. Students preparing for CUET, SSC or board exams can talk to mentors on pay-per-minute sessions, but the daily-target plan is not offered for those exams.
How much does the daily-target plan cost?
The first 3 days are free, once per student. After that you pay once for a term: ₹349 for 1 month, ₹899 for 3 months, ₹1,599 for 6 months or ₹3,499 for 12 months. There is no autopay.
What happens if I miss a day?
A day counts as missed only if work was due and nothing was ticked; a day with nothing due does not break your streak. Your mentor sees the task as late and can plan around it.
Can I get daily targets without the plan?
No. Daily targets come with the plan. Without it you can still book pay-per-minute chat, audio or video sessions with any mentor, and your first chat is free for 5 minutes.
