JEE Main 2026 Application Procedure

Application Procedure

  1. Register

    • Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and click on New Registration.
    • Enter basic details, create a password, and note your Application Number.

  2. Identity Verification

    • Use Aadhaar or other valid ID for verification.
    • Resolve any mismatch using options provided by the exam authority.

  3. Fill Application Form

    • Log in and enter personal, contact, and educational details.
    • Choose papers and select exam cities (up to 4 preferences).

  4. Upload Documents

    • Photograph (specified background, size, format).
    • Signature.
    • Qualifying exam certificate / mark sheet.
    • Any other required documents in specified format and size.

  5. Pay Examination Fees

    • Pay via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or other allowed modes.
    • After successful payment, download the Confirmation Page.
NOTE

The process is usually online; physical documents are typically not sent unless asked. Corrections are allowed only during the specified correction window; no changes via post or email.

Fees

  • Paper 1 (India): General Male ₹1000, Female ₹800; SC/ST/PwD ₹500.
  • Both Papers: Higher fees; Outside India candidates pay ₹4500+.
  • GST is applicable.
