Examination stages
The 2027 examination pattern has not been confirmed in a separate UPSC notification as of October 15, 2026. For the prior cycle, the CSE 2026 notification describes the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test, including the qualifying nature of the Preliminary papers and the Main examination structure.
Use the notification for your application year to confirm papers, marks, qualifying standards, language provisions and selection rules. Do not rely on a calendar entry or treat 2026 details as a 2027 confirmation.
